OneTree Submission Guidelines
Anyone is invited to submit a chapter
and/or related artwork to the OneTree saga. We do offer a few guidelines to add
clarity (we hope) to the submission process.
1) At PeaceGrooves, we believe that while
conflict is a normal part of life, the violent resolution of conflict does not
have to be. To that end, we encourage submitters to use their imagination
to develop story lines that refrain from the use of violence in the resolution of problems.
The more thought and creativity that is put into a chapter will increase its
inclusion in OneTree.
2) PLEASE read through most if not all of
the currently available OneTree content before writing and submitting your
chapter. This contributes to a consistent storyline and assists the readers in
their ability to follow the plot. ALSO, please keep your chapters relatively
short (see the current submissions for an idea of length) so that we can fit
them on the page.
3) Include possible choices that the reader
can make at the end of your chapter and your ideas as to where those choices
will lead. Find the OneTree choices already listed that do not have links.
(They are the choices that are not underlined).
Where do you want the reader to go? Use your creativity to write a chapter
describing what happens if that choice is made.
4) Persons are encouraged to submit art
that relates to current chapters or a submission. These
should be in jpg or gif format, the smaller the size the better. (Use the
picture on the top left of the pages as a model).
5) Editing will usually be limited to grammar or
text. We reserve the right to reject any submission. Crude language, graphic
violence, and lude
themes will be rejected outright. We will not censure submissions. We will
simply return them for the author to edit and resubmit.
6) All submissions and questions should be emailed to the
OneTree Editor.
By submitting content, you give the Editor permission to edit your work and to provide feedback/comments to you, the submitter.
